System Bootable USB Key for OS installation
Overview
For the last 2 months I have been trying several Linux distributions, thus creating boot usb keys with the isos provided. At some point I had to redo the key several time, I was having multiple keys and it sbecome a real mess. Then I have discovered Ventoy…
What is Ventoy
Ventoy is an application that creates bootable usb key on which you can drop directly isofiles. When booting on the usb key, it will propose to boot on any of the iso files present on the key.
Thus once the key is formatted, it only needs to receive the iso files which is way faster than creating the usb key from the iso files.
In the Bios, there will be 2 entries for the usb key, one is the bootable part, the other is the location were all the iso are. To be sure to boot on the key, I have been setting those 2 partitions as the 2 first location to boot on.
